One in, one out.

Every time you buy something new or bring something into your home then make sure you let something similar go. So if you buy a new pair of shoes then one old pair goes to charity, to recycling or to sell. If you adopt this policy then your home will never get cluttered again. You will also find yourself hesitating when you hit the shops - do I really need that set of pans or those towels? If you don't need them you're just paying to clutter up your home.

So try the one in - one out rule. It's an essential tool of any clutter-free home...
